So, someone gave you a @mention in one of their FollowFriday tweets. Super. That’s great (no, really, it is).
Here’s the thing.
It is altogether unnecessary for you to REtweet those mentions, simply to give yourself a pat on the back. Thank the person who mentioned you, preferably in a DM. Send THEM an @message, if you like. Retweeting those messages, though? That’s just self-aggrandizement and is patently annoying.
